Ugh. I'll never understand why people seem to think that matchy-twin thing is a good idea. XP

TWINS ARE TWO SEPARATE PEOPLE, NOT A MATCHING SET OF DINNER PLATES.

Sorry, it's one of my big pet peeves.

Man, I tease everyone I'm gonna name my twins (if i ever have any) Anika and Anakin. Which I know will never, ever happen because I would never curse my child to be named Anakin because for one it sounds too much of a girl name (poor skywalker, i bet mommy was on star wars crack) and secondly, they'll be teased to no end. But it's nice to kid around ^_^

I was peach picking the other day and I heard a mom call a son Anakin. I definitely did a double take haha.

Haha, I tease my mom that I would name my twins Al(bert) and Fred(erick) to make Al Fred. It's not really matchy in the same sense but it wigs her out.

This. As a twin myself I can only imagine how annoying having matchy identical names are.

I hate that shit so much.
But at least they don't rhyme.

That reminds me of Princess Diaries: "Jeremiah and Mia ... Oooh, 'Miah and Mia."

I was a camp counselor for a group that had a Miya (mee-ah) and a Maya (my-ah) (not siblings) and that was confusing enough... I couldn't imagine having such similar names for my own kids!

Yikes. My friend's daughter is called Mya, and I always mentally read it as "mee-ah". I'd be so confused if I was this person's friend! :{
