Sam Farrar, the bassist from the (now defunct :/) band Phantom Planet, and his wife Sarah recently had a baby girl. They named her Vesper Pearl Farrar. What do you think? I have never heard the name Vesper before. At first I was like WHAT but now I kind of like it.

Vespa is the word for "wasp" in italian, and also where the famous moped name came from! I'd say that's reason enough to contaminate even Vesper with ugliness.

Is Vesper legit? Seems an awkward alternative to Violet and other V names. Pearl is a good name. I can see it being the next Anne Rose Marie Grace etc. filler middle name of choice once the old lady connotations die (literally) out which is horrible but yeah. People like their great grandparents names.

So, is he a Bond fan or just a fan of bad names? I like things about the name Vesper, but the fact that anybody would ever actually use it on their child makes me cringe. Pearl is ugly, and old.
