August babies!

I just got an email from my aunt and my cousin (Dan) and his wife (Olivia) had a baby boy that they named Maximilian Douglass. I think I like the name and I hope they call him Max. It suits their personalities well too.

Then about a week ago my friend Ashlie from high school had a baby girl she named Audrey Marie. I've never really been a fan of Audrey, but it's a nice enough. Although she's a very artistic person (at least in high school she was) so it's not quite what I expected from her.

I dislike the ss ending on that. Douglas is quite sufficient.

Ah well. I's nice enough.

I was about to say I'd never seen that spelling before.

Max is a cool neame though and Maximilian is IMO miles better than Maxwell. Are there other names Max can be short for that I'm missing? It's 5:30am, so I make no promises of intelligence lol.

Maxim, Maximus!

Maximilian is definitely the best to me.

Douglass with two Gs? That's the old feminine version, isn't it?

I LOVE the name Audrey. And even though Marie is considered a filler name, Audrey Marie sounds nice, I think!

Not really a fan of Maximilian Douglass, though, although it's not awful.

I'm fine with Max but I just can't make myself like any of the long versions.

I can totally remember the first time someone told me the name Maximilian existed. I burst out laughing, thinking that they said "max-a-million". Sounds like an extreme name - Max is already hardcore enough without timesing it by a million.

But that's just me. I like Audrey Marie, it's sweet and simple and I think will last a lifetime (as in, it's not confined to any particular age).
