Yes, Maxine is great! I really think it should be used more!
I used to know a lovely kawaii british girl by this name!
It's traditional but the x makes it sassy and the -ine makes it feminine!
What's there not to like? ;)

I went through a big Maxine phase a year or two ago. I still think it's a really great name. My sister has a friend named Maxine, so it's not unusable.

Maxine sounds like an old woman to me. Also reminds me of maxi pad.

I've never been fond of the name Maxine. It reminds me of woman with big hair-sprayed hair for some reason? I'm weird. lol

I've always loved the name 'Max' and I know that I have a progression of names that I want to use (Zach, Max, Chris, Nick) and Max is thankfully one of those names that lends itself well to both genders. I don't really like Maxine all that much but I love Max so I would use it.
