What do you think of Malachi?

My partner mentioned liking this name and I'm kind of on the fence about it. I like the sound of it, but I just don't know what I'd use it with. Does James Malachi work to you?

I don't know. I have no idea what I think about it, I've never considered it before. I like the way it sounds better than the way it looks, but I don't think it sounds like that great either. So, I guess I don't think that much of it.

I prefer the spelling of Malachai... however I love the name. I think it has a really cool sound to it and I like the way it looks.

However, I just can't stop thinking of Children of the Corn. It's association has ruined the name for me.

I like James Malachai, but James is so traditional that I'm not too fond of the mixture.

One of the kids where I work is named Malachi. I had honestly never heard the name till I met him. I can't remember his middle name but it was something like Kashawn or...Ka...something.

I like Malachi, it's a book in the Bible, and one of the Minor prophets. I think James Malachi would work well.

Malachi - Means "my messenger" or "my angel" in Hebrew.

It would probably go well with John too, maybe Peter. I'm thinking a 1-2 syllable name with no hard k sound.

Malachi has always reminded me of Children of the Corn, if not I would probably like this name. I like James Malachi. :)
