What do you think of the name Seanna? (pronounced like Shawna)

I like the sound of the name Shawna but I do not like it spelled this way, or like Shauna.

Somehow, the name Seanna is really starting to grow on me.

I haven't seen that before. I think it makes sense as a feminization of Sean, but with the popularity of Sienna-type names you will likely get a lot of mispronounciations from people who misinterpret it as a variant of that, and not of Shawna.

I don't personally like it very much, but that's just the name in any spelling.

I would mispronounce it as Sienna. Why not spell it Shawna?

I don't like it at all. I don't like the spelling Sean for a boy and I think that this looks like an attempt of Sienna.

I too see it like Sienna.

I have a niece named Shauna - I used to never like it; it's grown on me since she married into the family. :)

The "anna" stood out first, so I said it See-anna. I think that spelling it that way, there would be alot of, "It's Shaw-nuh." Which isn't so bad, I have to do that with my name often and it doesn't bother me.

I agree with what you said about the "anna" sticking out.

i think i'm about to be the only person on this thread who was going to say that i, too, prefer Seanna, it makes more sense, and it's not like no-one's seen the name 'Sean' before, so they'd know how to pronounce it.

i would have never thought 'sienna.' o.O

That spelling is okay, but I just hate the sound of Shawna. I don't think its a pretty name at ALL.

I have a redneck stepcousin named Shawna (though I don't know how it's spelled) and she's named after her truckdriver dad Shawn/Sean...so I think it's a trashy name.

just curious...do you think its trashy because your family is trashy or because you think of truckdrivers as trashy?

Well, my stepmom's family own a donkey farm and all have horrible country accents and are just generally rednecks. I don't really see truckdrivers as trashy but in his case, it really just adds to his trashiness. You know?

I really don't like it. The spelling is weird (I thought you were going for Sienna at first), and I really don't like the sound of it anyway. It's very 80s to me. I know a girl who spells it Shana, but to me that says shay-nah.

I really don't like it. Or Shawna. The only spelling I like is Shauna.

What about Seana? That might make the Sean part clearer.
