How is Martha ridiculous? It's like the epitome of plain female names. Conchita, also, isn't ridiculous. It's Hispanic. Sin-Jun seems to be Korean to me. So I don't quite understand how they are ridiculous. And, honestly, I've seen way worse names than lee, Darden, and Cross. And I don't think DeDe is that bad if it's a nickname for something longer.
The only one on there that is really ridiculous to me is Aspeth.
Since it was a female name I was giving the author some credit in hoping that it was not St. John and was more likely an Asian name. There was a Sinjin-dong in Seoul where I lived and there is also a business or two with that name. I figured it was just ignorance towards Asian names.
Aspeth is sort of weird...like they combined Aspen with Elspeth. Personally I prefer just Elspeth. Martha is pretty to me. Conchita and DeDe are not my style, but they're names I've seen before. Darden makes me think of Tyler Durden, though.
