How would you spell a female name that was pronounced (core-rin)?

Thank you! :)

I've known a girl named Corinne who pronounced it as you are saying..Core-inn.

I know a woman named Corine who pronounces it like Chlorine. Core-een.

Oh I thought you meant her name was pronounced chlorine for a second there.

I thought Corrine was the spelling but I guess that's for "Cor-ene", not "Cor-inn" so I think 2 n's would be better.

Sure thing...I didn't have much to add but was glad to give my opinion. Is Corinn something you thought up yourself or heard somewhere?

Wasn't there a movie by the name of Corinna Corinna? Yeah, with Whoopie Goldberg and that adorable girl from Napolean Dynomite.

I pronounce Corinne as cuh-RIN, which I think is much the same, so if someone introduced herself as "core-rin" I would assume it was spelled Corinne. Hope that helps.. it's a nice name

I'd spell it Corrin. Corrine/Corinne looks like "Core-een" to me.

If the emphasis is on the first syllable, Corin. If it's cor-IN, "Corinne."

That was my "daughter"'s birthname and it was spelled Corrinne...though I thought it should have had only one "r" so Corinne is "right" to me.

If it matters to you, Corin &tc. are usually boys names.

I believe in English, Corinne could be pronounced either way. I would say "Cor-een" because I speak French, but I imagine you'll hear both pronounciations from strangers encountering the name for the first time.

I would say Cor-REEN for the spelling Corinne. For the pronunciation COR-in, I would spell it Corin and give it to a boy. For the pronunciation Cuh-RIN, I would spell it Corryn or Coryn and give it to a girl.

Does that make sense?
