Im really starting to like the name chloƩ for a girl. My Fiance mentioned it to me awhile ago, and at first all I could think of was a poodle with a pink sweater on or something along those lines, or the goldfish in pinnochio. However the more I think about it I think its quite pretty. What are your thoughts?

Chloe is the name of my second* cousin; she's six years old, blond, blue eyed and adorable as can be :)
So wouldn't use the name myself, but have positive associations. It's absurdly common in the UK and has been for years, so gotta have something going for it.

*as in my elder cousin's kid ... am not too hot on the terminology :)

First, congratulations on your pregnancy! I just found out I'm pregnant and think I'm about 6 weeks right now.
Chloe is pretty and I like it, and have even considered it myself, however I prefer the other name you had, Lyra-Grae. I've never heard such a name-combo, and I think it's both unique and beautiful.
I have a decent sized list of baby names from A-Z for both boys and girls, that I've compiled since I was a teenager. It consists of baby names from books, from on-line, and either original names that I've altered, or my own names I made up. If you're interested in some unusual names I could type them up and e-mail them to you, just let me know. :)

I love Chloe! But without the accent since we're not in France. ;)

But without the accent it's usually pronounced differently, chlo-ee instead of chlo-ay.

I like them both, I have known some fantastic people who were called ChloƩ. Lovely choice.

I think it's all right. A lot of people do find it a bit infantile, though.

I like it. Its really trendy and popular now, but it's nice. I work with a girl named Chloe (shes 18 I think) and she said that for YEARS she never met anyone else named Chloe and a lot of people couldn't even pronounce her name right, but now she hears of lots of others with her name. But if the popularity doesn't bother you, I really like it.

I think it is a very pretty, sweet name. I live in Las Vegas, and right now it is really popular for baby girls. Chloes and Avas are popping up all over! I still like it though!

I like Chloe a lot, but it's too popular for my taste. It's in the top 20 most commonly used names for girls right now.

I like it, but as a few people have mentioned already, it is getting pretty popular. I also think if you want it pronounced "clo-ay" that you'd better be prepared for SO many people to say it wrong: "clo-ee."

I like plain Chloe. Sounds like CLOH-ee. With the accent it would be pronounced like cloh-AY, and I don't think that is as pretty.
