What do you think of Octavia?

My partner says he likes the sound of it but would only use it for an 8th child (and 8 children is definitely NOT going to happen, haha). What do you think?

I like it. Although, I'd probably end up calling her Tavia.

I like it. It could also work for a child born in August (8th month) or on the 8th.

Not a big fan of it.

It reminds me of Activia yogurt. When I saw it, I automatically sang the jingle, stopped, and said, "Wait..." Unfortunately, I actually quite like it, but that's the first thing I thought of, and I definitely wouldn't want my kid to have a name so closely resembling that of a yogurt intended to keep you regular.

I would only approve of it if it was used for anyone other than the 8th child

Not a fan. It reminds me of Octavius, and that puts me off for some reason.

I don't like it at all. I actually knew an Octavia (went by Tavia) and I wasn't a fan of her either...

I don't like it. I don't like the way it sounds...and it makes me think of the Spider-Man villian. Or an octopus.

I knew a girl named this when I was in elementary school. I don't recall hating it. :p Now, I think it's nice enough. Not my style.

I quite like it, but I think it's a little odd to use if there's no association with the number 8.

I've known a couple of Octavias, one went by Occy, and one by Tavi.

I think it's a gorgeous name. It's so sophisticated and makes me think of a piano with dark polished wood. I love the image it gives me. I think it would actually be tacky to use for an eighth child.

My best friend and I used it as a code name for a girl who we used to be really good friends with but who changed and was being a bit of a jerk. Octavia and Augusta. What can I say, it was high school.

I don't like it. It has that Bertha or Gertrude kinda feel to it. And octopus feel, too, haha. But it is a strong name, and I had never thought of Tavi or Tavia as a nn, and I like those... So. Maybe.
