How do YOU spell the name "KEER-uh"?

Keira
Kiera
Kira
Or some other way?

ETA: I was skimming over my "50,001 Best Baby Names" tonight and was extremely disappointed and infuriated to find the name "Moon Unit" listed in the girls names section. WTF! Does anyone else have this book? Please tell me this was some kind of mistake or misprint?! Now I know why this book was on clearance for $2.99 at my local Walden Books when I purchased it.

Ciara is the correct way to spell it, but I understand why one would pick Kira too. The rest I don't like because they're too confusing.

And Ciara as Kirr-uh isn't confusing?

A lot of people do :). In my opinion thats a mistake, but my opinion is not worth a lot to the rest of the world haha. Ciara is the original spelling of Kira (like Ciaran is pronounced Keeran). Kira I like because its straightforward and I can definitely understand why someone wouldn't want to spell it Ciara since probably most people would mispronounce it. But any other way than Kira people are bound to mispronounce as well, so if you're not going to use (in my opinion) the correct spelling, you might as well use the most straightforward, Kira! Haha hope that made sense.

I agree with you about Ciara being the 'correct' spelling :D I think it's the prettiest too. Although I'd go with Keira rather than Kira if I was picking one of the others personally. Kira makes me think too much of Star Trek.

This is the singer Ciara's (See-air-uh) fault. Ciara is actually the original spelling of Keer-uh names and the rest are creative versions of it. It's an Irish name and I'm Irish with so many people here being called Ciara and NOBODY pronouncing it See-air-uh. It's the female form of Ciaran, which isn't pronounced See-air-un. Sorry not having a go at you or anything, I'm just saying.

I knew a woman who was thinking about naming her dog See-air-uh, which happens to be my dogs name and she asked "do you spell it with the S way or the C way? " And I had to ask her what she meant as to me the ONLY proper way to spell see-air-uh is Sierra. She of course meant Ciara (which I agree, is Kira!) I was so confused!
