What are your favorite names for girls that end in the "-een" sound?
My middle name is Arlene and I'm thinking since that one is a family name, I could pass on at least a middle name that rhymes.

Bonus points if you suggest something that you think sounds good with Alma as a first name.
Just please don't suggest Pauline because there are already two Paola's and a Paolo (father to one of them) in the family. Thanks!!

I can't say that I'm a fan of any names with that ending...
I know a family in which all the women have the "-een" sound at the end of their names, though. They are Darlene, Charlene, and Valene.

Róisín, for sure. I really want to use it as a middle name someday (middle, because of pronunciation issues).

Jacqueline and Josephine I really like. Kathleen is acceptable. That's pretty much it. Most -een names sound very dated to me.

Here's a new and unusual one that I do like: Serene.

My grandma is Alma Rae. I had no idea that anyone else in the world used that name. o_O (The rest of her family has bizarre names so I figured they'd made that one up as well.)
