my friend is having boy/girl twins... middle names are set in stone

boy: _______ Nicholas Patrick
girl: _______ Gracie James

she wants to also know peoples preferences on the spelling of Nicholas. and if their is a more girly but not creative way of spelling James.
all of the middle names are family names.

Jamie for a girl. Nickname for James, but more feminine.

I would suggest the spelling of Jaymes for something slightly more girly. I wouldn't do it myself though, personally.

Nicholas is probably the spelling I would use, although there's also Nikolas.

Good luck to your friend! :)

I wouldn't even suggest it. That's a horrible way of spelling James.

I think she should leave it James, especially if it's a middle name. There is always Jaymes though.
Nicholas is, in my opinion, the only way to spell it.

Leave James. Even if it's masculine, it's better than changing the spelling.

Anything other than James is considered kr8ive in my book.

And why girly? Is it for the girl?

Nevermind. I see that the kids have 2 middle names.

James for a girl? I still wouldn't change the spelling.

There's no girly but non-creative way of spelling James, because it's not a girl's or unisex name.

No, it is used as a unisex name in their family, but it is not a unisex name.

my cousin used jaymes as a middle on her daughter, but i think its an atrocity. jaimes is not as bad.

i would just stick with james, personally.

I wouldn't change anything about the way the names are spelled. They are very classic and look and sound great.

James. Keep it as-is, especially since it's not only a middle name, but a SECOND middle name. It's not likely to come up often.

I like both Nicolas and Nicholas equally. I wish I could be of more help.

And aside from Jaymes (which I'm not really a fan of), I cannot think of a girlier spelling.

Leave the spelling as-is. I cannot stand male names on girls already, and when the spelling is changed it simply looks immature and ridiculous. Besides, who's going to notice a second middle name most of the time?

it has been said but James is good as is, I actually love it on a girl and Nicholas is the only spelling I like, and well the spanish version since I see it all the time here, Nicolás but that's pretty much it.

I like the combinations so far but sadly these are not my style of names so I don't have much to say about them or other suggestions.

My friend's brother is a Nikolas, I much prefer it. Any girly spelling of James would be creative, so I wouldn't change it.

Nicholas or Nikolas are both fine.
James is also fine on a girl, since it's just a 2nd middle name.
i kno a couple that almsot named their daughter Darla James, i thought it was cute :)

No, there isn't.

I prefer Nicholas.
