I will not have kids for a long time [hopefully!], but I have a thing of staying clear from names of friends I had growing up.

For example I really like the name Georgia but I had a best friend for many years named that. She was nice, but I would feel weird naming my daughter that.

I also like the name Grace but I had a horrible friend named that in 6th grade so I will never ever give my daughter that name.

Do other people feel like this? Or do I just have problems letting go? ; )

Most of my friends had common names that I wouldn't name a child anyway. However, my tendency is to not name my children any names of someone that I dated. None of the following: Ryan, Tim, Steve, Mike (x3), and soooooo on. And those are just the ones that lasted a significant amount of time. ;)
