So I was looking through my journal and seeing the baby names and I realized I have literally 3 times as many girls names as I do boys. WOW. Anyone else have this type of problem? Boys names are really touchy for me, I'm very particular about them. And also do you have any boys names that you REALLY like? Tell me them!

Mine is actually opposite, I like a lot more different boy names than girl names. Well the ones I actually want to use I guess. Just names I like, well that list is long haha.

The boy names I like are pretty basic. Patrick, Benjamin, Noah, Eli, Finn, Caleb.

Same here. I love boys' names and have tons of them. Most of the girls' names that I like though are more "hippie"-ish and I don't know if I'd use them.

Exactly. I can rattle off boys' names I like, but draw a blank after, oh, 3 girls' names.

My husband and I had tonnes of names we liked for girls, but could only grudgingly agree on one for a boy. Luckily we have two girls!
It was tough to find a name that was appropriately masculine but not too old-fashioned or too popular. Then add our own personal taste into that and... it was hard. Personally, I like Seth, Venn, Owen, Eric, Austin and Heath.

My son's name is Adrian Maxwell. I'm so glad I'm having a girl this time because I have no idea what I would name another boy.

Ehh my lists are about even right now:
Owen, Elliott, Liam, Miles, Nolan, Aaron, Blake, and Geoffrey for boys.
Madison, Elisa, Riley, Natalie, Eva, Alexa, and Norah for girls.

However, I like the flow of the boy names (er, first + middle) much more than the girls, overall. I'm easy with names though, so I can easily add a lot. Ha. Unfortunately, the boyfriend doesn't like most of the names... or any names at all, which will cause difficulty in the future.

i'm the same way. i just don't care for boys names. there are a few that i like enough to use (adam, elliott, that's about it) but i still don't love them. i LOVE girls names, though.

idk what i'll do if i have all boys.

Girls names are so hard for me, but boys names are easy.

The boys names I really like are: Felix, James, Vincent, Aaron, Benjamin, Christian, Dietrich, Theodore, Elijah

I can't find that many girls names I like. I only have Claire, Isadora, Eve, and Shiloh really firmly on my list.

In general, I like lots more girl names, but for names I'd actually use, I have more boy names than girl names. The ones I like best right now are Oliver, Trey, Owen, Nestor, Linus, and Alastair.

I'm pretty set on boys' names. (Unfortunately, I like trendy ones: Aidan - and some of its rhymes, like Caden and Jaden, Landon, Tristan, Quentin, Tyler, etc. I do like Michael though, which is timeless).

However, I have only 3 girls' names I really, really like. (Adele, Celeste, and Aislyn).

Yes, totally this way! It goes back and forth, though. Sometimes I feel like I would rather use more traditional sounding names, in which case I have more girls' names than boys (about 12 vs. just Samuel and James), but other times (like now) I am more into funky-sounding traditional names like Jasper and Harriet and I end up with more boys than girls.

My OMGLOVETHEM boys names:
Jasper
Silas
Elias
Asher
Thatcher
Tucker
James
Samuel

I find boys' and girls' names equally easy to like or dislike. However, the girls' list is considerably longer, because my husband and I have much less compatible tastes (thus more metaphorical stretchiness) — whereas we agree almost exactly on boys' names and thus the list is set, trimmed, and ready to go.

I have tons of girls names that I LOVE and would be willing to use, but only a handful of boys names that I feel the same way about.

My favorite boys names are Benjamin, Colin, Ezra, Josiah, Julian, Evan, Chandler, Oliver, Theodore and Henry.

I'm the opposite, I have a hard time liking most girls' names.

Right now, my top two boys names are Noah and Oliver. I also like Alexander, Alexei, Alistair, Benjamin, Casper, Dakota, Elijah, Florian, James/Jamie, Micah, Milo, Nolan, Sam (not Samuel), and Theodore.

I used to really like Kieran. Arkady, Alec, Caleb, Cassidy, Cameron, Finn, Illya, Nico. Addison and Madison, before they started being popular on girls. Jaden before it became trendy. Ashley...for some reason I really like this on boys, but absolutely -loathe- it on girls. o_O;;

I have always had this problem- I don't know if it's because so many boys' names are more traditional/common from being passed down generations or what, but I can't seem to find as many boys names that I love as girls. :-)

Right now, some of my favorite boys' names are: Liam, Sawyer, Levi, Gavin, Spencer, Owen and many shortened names like Will, Luke, Jake, Max, Ray, Ben.

Same. I like way more girl names than boy names. My son is named Jonas Christopher. I'm going to be up a creek without a paddle if I have another boy one day because that was the only boy named I'd like for forever hah.

I have way more girls' names than boys' names too, but the weird thing is that I have a lot more boys' names that I really, really like. My girls' names seem to change a lot but I've got boys' names that have topped my list for over eight years.

Some of my favorites are: Rowan, Frederick, Seth, Cyrus, Cecil (SESS-il, not SEES-il), Titus, Tobias, Robin, Daniel, Flynn, Clifford, Desmond, Gideon, Hector, Morgan, Linus, Nicodemus, Solomon, Lloyd, Taylor, Skylar... see, I can go on forever.

I think that I like almost the same about of boy names as girl names, but it's a lot rarer for me to love a boy name.

I love River, Truman, Jude, Silas, and Demetri is a guilty pleasure love.
