ok I am jsut about 16 weeks with baby #2. An u/s at 12 w to confirm dates showed what looked like a little boy but since that is so incredibly early i'm not ruling out anything yet. some of the names I like for middle names and some for first this is my first draft so to speak lol so it will hopefully get better as time moves on and we can start establishing which name goes where. feel free to suggest more names because right now I am totally open to suggestion. My tendency is to lean toward irish/scottish names because my husband family is from cork and I have family scattered throughout scotland. I also tend to like greek/roman myth and hebrew names.

I don't really see what is wrong with Tamsin, I know a Tamsyn.
And Elisha is very similar to Alisha, Alyssia etc.
Also, I know of a Tempest.

Congratulations on your baby!!!!

I'd like to say that Malichi is not Biblical. Malachi is. IMHO, if you don't spell it Hebrewly (I made up a word, I know) then it's not technically Biblical. Like Zachariah. It's ZECHariah.

As far as your list, I ADORE mot of your names:

Female
Annora-honor - I LOVE it. It's soooo gorgeous and I am adding it to my list.
Ariel-lion of God - I like it a lot
Bronwyn-blessed - sounds very LOTR, but not horrible.
Caelan-slender - kind of pretty. We have been having a long discussion about Caeslin in this comm.
Isabel-God of plenty - one of my all-time faves and fave spellings of it.
Lael-of God - Love this, and I know a sweet girl with this name. It's very unique but not hard to pronounce.
Lenore-shining light - I also like this, although Lenora is my top name.
Tempest-stormy - not into this one so much
Temperance-moderation - or this one. Makes me think of not drinking alcohol.
Thalia-flowering, muse of comedy - I like this. It's also a Turkish name
Tamsin-twin - interesting, although nms.

Male
Alaric-noble ruler - interesting. Aric for short is cute.
Archimedes-mathematician - meh...nms.
ciaran-black - Sea-are-anne? I kind of like it.
Deacon-servant - As a middle name, lovely.
Elisha-God is salvation - LOVE IT
Elliot-my God is YAHWEH - LOVE IT
Guillermo-protection - LOVE IT, as I am obsessed with Hispanic names. This would be a better middle name, as no one will get the Y sound.
Miles-merciful - LOVE IT
Oliver-elf army - LOVELOVELOVE it! :)
Quentin-fifth - It's ok. Middle name I guess.
Rowan-little red one - Isn't Brooke Shield's girl named Rowan? A little too LOTR for me, but pretty. It seems fem
Seamus-supplanter - nms at all. I know it's not uncommon, but it looks funny to me.

You have a LOVELY list of names. Keep us updated!

Seamus to me is just ugly.. its like an old man about to die

Archimedes makes me think of the owl in the Sword in the Stone..

Tempest and Temperance are just ugly to me.

Elisha is a girls name to me.

And Alari is supposed to be Alaric, the first on your boys list, I just didnt copy the whole word, it was an accident...

but, to each their own :)

What is your first childs name?

Ariel- beautiful, mermaid connection but that's not a problem for me.
Caelan- quite popular, not as much as caitlin but there are loads of different spellings & if you add them all up it's kid of trendy... but i like it still
Isabel- very very popular now, but i love it spelt Isabelle.
Tempest- hmm... weird but i can imagine it being quite a cool name actually.. makes me think of shakespeare.
Temperance- love it
Tamsin- very pretty and unusual, although i know a few Tamsin's it's not often heard.

Male

Archimedes- i see you love the sword in the stone!! if you want an owl connection go for Athena for a girl (goddess of wisdom, greek wisdom=owl)Archimedes is a bit over the top
ciaran- Like a lot, but i think i prefer Cairen (like Ciaran but the first sullabke is kye not kear)
Deacon- It's okay, but servent isnt a very nice meaning..
Elisha- You mean Elijah? Elisha is such a girls name!
Elliot- love
Miles- prefer Myles. It's okay...i really hate a guy by that name so i'm biased but if i think about it subjectivly it's not a bad name

I like Ariel & Elliot the most :-)

I think people are more understanding when it comes to gaelic names, they kind of expect them to be pronounced differently! having sad that, i was pronouncing it cay-lin...

I like Malachy a lot. It's pronounced Muh-LACH-ee, right? I really like Ciaran pronounced Keer-in. It's cool, although I think more people are dumb like me and that would be a problem.

Some more ideas:

Caspian
Ezekiel
Indigo

Asha (derived from Sanskrit asa meaning "hope".)
Lorelei
Laural
Lydia

Congratulations, good luck and let us know what you decide!

You could call him Eli. It's not so bad, but I think there are other male biblical names that are more.....manly ?... than Elisha. Elijah sounds better with your first son's name.

I know a girl named Archimedes. She goes by Archie.

Annora-fine
Ariel-too Disney Princess
Bronwyn-I like it spelled Bronwen
Caelan-seems a bit contrived (whether it is or isn't) and just kind of blends into the crowd of Kay names, very popular right now
Isabel-way overused
Lael-ok
Lenore-too old
Tempest-too out there
Temperance-ditto. sounds like you're naming a pilgrim
Thalia-nice
Tamsin-nice. my best childhood friend was named Tamsen, which I prefer because I'm used to it and because it has a softer sound and no "sin" in it. But Tamsin is the traditional spelling, so that's fine too.

Alaric-nice
Archimedes-way too much for a kid to carry
ciaran-nice. I think Kieran would be easier though.
Deacon-I don't like religious titles as names.
Elisha-would confuse people.
Elliot-love
Guillermo-no
Miles-fine
Oliver-very trendy
Quentin-eh
Rowan-nice
Seamus-nice
