can I get some of your opinions on the most reliable online name source as far as spellings and meanings go?

 I have heard behind the name but they are so incomplete and a lot of the names I like don't have a pronounciation key.

I have a couple of baby name books but the names just all seems the same to me. I am having more trouble with girl names then boys. I have one son already and we don't know what this pregnancy might bring.

I have went through and circled names I like in about 3 books now.

care to make some reccomendations?

I second Elemmennope's suggestion about using the message boards at Behindthename. As far as books are concerned, they are often just as reliable as most internet sites (i.e. not at all). I recommend the Oxford Concise Dictionary of First Names (found online here (http://www.askoxford.com/dictionaries/name_dict/?view=uk)), and I hear The Baby Name Wizard is good, too.

Oh, great link - Hanks and Hodges are regarded as some of the most accurate name book authors. I had no idea any of their stuff was available online.
