Mm, I'm thinking it was probably Caislín, which appears, among other places, here (http://www.namenerds.com/irish/irisham.html)

Now, I don't know how much the original pronunciations matter to you, but just as Aislinn isn't pronounced ACE-lin, Caislin isn't pronounced CASE-lin (as far as I can tell, it's more like CASH-lin.

Oh... my.... Gosh...... I think I love you!

That is the first site I've seen today that has Caislin with the s in it! I'm not sure about the pronunciation. I dont like the name CASH-lin so we'd just have to talk about that (my husband and I)
