My boyfriend and I have talked about TTC in about a year or so.  The more I think about it- the closer the year gets.  XD He REALLY hates most of the names I like.  :/   But we both can agree on Katherine.  He loves it.  I love it.  But...  Well my younget cuz is names this.  So really it is out question for me to use...   So what I am asking are some of your favorite names that are similar to Katherine?  :)

My mom's bff had just had a daughter named Katherine, so my mom named my sister Kathryn and we call her Katie.

Probably so that she could be Katherine/Kate/Kathy when she's 25 and no longer wants to be called Katie.

why not just name her Katherine and call her Katy, Kat, or Kit? they're all suitable nicknames for Katherine. i mean, it's just your cousin. my cousin named her daughter Amanda and that's my first name, but i don't go by it as much around home as i do for business purposes, so it doesn't make things weird or anything within the family. my middle name is Katherine. i never really had a nickname growing up cos my mom hated the idea, but my daddy calls me Reene (it's his special pet name for me, basically it's green without the G, if that makes sense)

similar names:
Catalina
Katerina
Katarzyna
Katelyn/Caitlin/Kaitlynn
Kathleen

i also read a book 1x that had a character whose name was Katherine, but she went by Kaya/Kaia, i can't remember the spelling righ-off-hand, tho.

you could just go with kate/cate and theres always good old kaitlin/caitlin.

the C instead of K might distance it enough from your cousins name.
