One of my bosses was named Gloria. We went out to a bar one night (she was only 21) and a guy there thought it was strange, said he had never heard of it. His name was Roswell. Now that one I think was strange! I really like it. I wouldn't use it but I like it.

I like it in italian, it sounds more like GLAW-ria.
In english, it's a little too stiff for my taste.
but I appreciate that it's not common, while still being a classic.

i knew a terrible person named gloria so it's ruined for me, but it's quite a pretty name. FYI the girl i knew with that name often went by "Glo."
