Leah Eve (is Leah Eve too "e" heavy? I also have Leah Bethany, Leah Chloe and Leah Eden)
Maya Eden
Shoshana Eve

Big sister is Jordana Mary, with the "J" making a "y" sound.

Still Avagial Eden... it's one of the most beautiful names I've ever heard and it sounds so good with your other daughters name. Plus "Ava" is a beautiful nn.

My fave is Amira (is it Uh-meer-uh? That's how I like it) Eve. I also think Amira Eden is lovely, because I adore Eden.

I really like Jordana also.

> is Leah Eve too "e" heavy?

To my ear, yes, and Leah Eden is too - in both combos, the "e" is stressed and in the first syllable in both names.

Of your remaining choices, Leah Chloe and Leah Bethany, I would pick Leah Bethany because the variation in rhythms makes for a more musical flow. (Leah and Chloe have the same rhythms.)

As for the rest:

Aliza Bethany - With this spelling, I am guessing you are pronouncing it "uh-LEEZ-uh" rather than like Eliza...? Pronunciation may still be an issue here. Other than that, the combo is quite nice.

Amira Eve - Again, you have a stressed long e sound in both names. The rhythmic variation helps with this, though. I will say that when I speak the combo aloud, it's a little challenging to make the transition between the vowel at the end of the first name and the vowel at the start of the second name. (That goes for some of the other combos as well. I'll just say it here rather than retyping the same thing each time ;) )

Avigail Eden - Will you have issues with people mishearing/mispronouncing this as Abigail? Nice combo, still.

Maya Eden - Maya is pretty, but I think it would flow better with a middle name that is not also two syllables and stressed on the first syllable. Do you have any other middles in mind for Maya? (Maya Bethany?)

Shoshana Eve - This has a lovely flow and a nice distribution of vowel and consonant sounds.

I think Leah Bethany is much nicer than Leah Eve, for the reasons others have said. I think neroli's comments were very helpful and I agree with them.

They are all lovely names, I think I would pick Leah or Shoshana...possibly Amira too. Aliza and Maya are very pretty, but I just don't like how they sound as much as the other ones. Avigail is lovely too, but I think it will confuse a lot of people if you live in an area where everybody knows Abigail but has never heard of Avigail. I think a kid living where I do, with that name, would have troubles...but maybe there are more Jewish people where you live and they might be more used to it. Don't let that stop you if you adore the name though, it's just something that may come up quite often.

Avigail Eden is my favorite. Ava would be a lovely nickname, too, and would sound great with Jordana. Aliza Bethany is my second favorite, then Leah Bethany - Leah Eve and Leah Eden both sound too "e" heavy to me, yes.

My favorites are:

Avigail Eden
Leah Bethany
Maya Eden
Shoshana Eve

I think it terms of matching Jordana, Maya would work the best- Jordana and Maya sound great together plus both are familar sounding but not overly common.

What do you count as "common"? Maya was #72 in 2005; looks like it is still rising, although not by huge leaps and bounds at this point:

2005 72
2004 84
2003 84
2002 90
2001 110
2000 113
1999 113
1998 123
1997 183
1996 201
1995 227
1994 247
1993 272
1992 368
1991 446

I consider Maya common, but not overly common (like a Madison or Emily, etc.) meaning it's a name that's heard of and used often; but she might just come across one other Maya in her class, if any.

Although, in looking at the stats, I find that Jordana is nowhere near as common as I thought it was- not even in the top 1000 at all! Maybe it's just more familar sounding than I
though.
