i like it alot, but all i can think of is jon benet ramsey.

Generally I prefer "normal" kinda names, not too common but not uncommon either. My girls' names list is a lot longer than my boys', though, I'm very picky with boys. There are only a few boys names I'd consider using, like William, Thomas, Ryan, Lucas and Ian. Maybe a few others that I can't think of right now. I do tend to have a lot of guilty pleasures for girls' names, but I do have a strong preference for feminine sounding names.

It's a last name to me, and absolutely awful for a girl.

I agree. It's a last name and especially awful for a girl.

You asked for opinions. I am giving mine. If you are going to get butthurt about a people not liking it, then don't ask for opinions.

Well, when you ask for opinions, that's what you're going to get.

You asked for opinions. Someone gave their opinion, and you came back with, "It's your opinion." Well, no kidding. If anyone was being snippy, it was you.

Yes, which was what I was giving, since you asked how people feel about the name.

Sounds ridiculous to me and just generally like the parent(s) wanted to jump on both the cutesy and surname trends.

I'm not entirely sure why that makes it any better or its meshing with the cutesiness any more palatable. It doesn't to me, at any rate.

You're right, but isn't it traditionally done for boys' names, not girls'?

Anyway, I personally can't see Ramsey as anything other than a surname. I like the sound of it though.

I like it! I think its cute for a girl, but I would expect her to be a bit of a rough girl, like a tomboy. Just seems like a strong name for a girl. Its very cute though :)

I like it. I wouldn't use it, but it's different in a good way.

I think it sounds way too boyish, and any girl spellings would look weird. and it's also a bit too last name-y for my taste.

I'm not a fan of it, I think it might be a little too masculine for me.

Sounds rather cheap and cheesey, to be honest... like a character in a very bad sub-Harlequin novel.

Ditto. Like, a step up from exotic dancer names like Cherry or Diamond, but still pretty horrible.

Uh, no. It's a last name, and way too masculine for a girl.

It's the last name of my best friend. Because I associate it with him, I would think of it more of a boy's name than a girl's.
