WDYT of the names Nico and Rose Bailey for girls?

Nico is personally my favourite name of all time, for some reason. I know it's supposed to be a guy's name, but it really appears more unisex to me for some reason.
And what are some surnames that flows with it? I personally like Nico Olivia and Nico Ashley. <:

Rose Bailey just popped up when I was watching TV, and I think it's a pretty name but I don't really know how to feel about it. I wouldn't use it, it's not my style.

To me Nico is a short form, and I've only met it on blokes, but I don't see why it shouldn't be short for Nicole etc.

Bailey is a surname.

Nico is a guy's name to me. I don't like Rose and Bailey is okay. Reminds me of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

I like Nico for a girl, although I can't see it as anything more than a nickname. I originally associated it with girls, because the first two people I'd heard of with that name were Nico, the model and singer (although that wasn't her real name), and Nico Blue Hoon, Shannon Hoon's daughter. I later found out it is traditionally a boy's name, but since it's always had feminine connotations for me, it doesn't seem to suit boys.

Rose Bailey, I'm not an especially big fan of, mostly because I hate the name Rose.

I'm actually not familiar with Neko Case. I'm referring to Nico (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nico), the German model/musician who was probably best known for her work with the Velvet Underground.

Nico is a boysname to me. My brother's middle name is Nicolay so my parents sometimes refer to him as Nico.

Haha! My friend's dad has a cat named Bailey, although that refers to the liquor since he has other cats named Scotch and Whisky as well.

Not really fond of Neko, probably because whenever I look at it I think of "Neh-ko" (something about my brain unless it's meant to be pronounced like that!) and i just don't like the sound of that.

I like Nico for boys or girls. Thandie Newton has a little girl Nico and it's precious whenever she refers to "My Nico". Aww.

I like super girly middle names with unisex or boy-names-used-as-girl-name firsts, so something like Nico Cecilia or Nico Emilia sounds good to me.

Rose and Bailey don't seem to go together. Rose is a traditional flower name, and Bailey is a trendy, non-distinctive occupation name. Anything ending in the -aylee sound automatically clumps together with the rest of the -aylee -ayden -aylin names.

I agree, but I just really dislike Nicole/Nicola. I tend to associate it with bitchy girls. :/ Just general encounters etc. Most Nicoles/Nicolas/Nicolettes I've known were rather unpleasant and snobby. Haha!

I guess it's a matter of preference? Nico is an unusual girls name + Ashley being so common, it seems to work for me. Plus I choose names based on the flow of it and Nico Ashley flows well for me....but I think Nico Olivia is nicer too. Hehe. (:

Nicole/Nicola/Nicolette is a really common name where I live, I have like around 7 variations of the name in my level at school, and I just have a negative association with the name in general haha!

Nico is a girl's name to me thanks to the singer. : ) Seems like an effeminate male name. Might be nice to go with Nicola and say Nico for short though.

so true, actually. now that i think about it... all the nicoles i knew in HS were bitches. but my ex's mom was named Nicola and she was a total sweetheart. ^^
