No kids of my own, but with the fur-kids ... Branwen's name is perfect, can't see anything else that I'd like as much and she just is a Branwen. :) Do like Casey's name, but it was a toss up between that and Morgan and think he would suit that just as well.
Still loving my chosen name after nearly five years, which is impressive for me. Have deliberated a lot over my middle name, but am settled now.
My son's name was chosen before we were ever even married and trying ot have a baby-we went with Tristan Alexander-and it fits him *perfectly*
With my daughter...We had picked Sierra Alyssa but we had a few other names that we liked 'just incase' But as soon as she was born, I looked at her and said "how about Skylar Nichole"? and my husband agreed. It was weird...we call her Skye and it fits her perfectly as well. I can't imagine her being a Sierra...
we picked out a boy name and a girl name when we'd been dating like, 3 weeks or something ridiculously tiny. I am terrified that the baby won't fit the name! but I don't want to do extra thinking, cause its scary naming someone!
first boy will be Andrew James Jr. I always intended to name my first son Andrew, as its really the only boy name I am in love with, and my grandfather's first name, and my brother's first name (but he goes by his middle name). then I met an Andrew!
girl: Emma Jane. for andy: emma is his fav girl name. for me: Emma was my favorite Jane Austen book, and Jane Eyre is my all time fav book. i know its the #2 name in america, but whatever. kid will just have to suck it up!
no babies... but i have a little kitty i named pierre. i was just thinking the other day that i wished i had named him arthur. he looks more like an arthur as a cat than he did as a pierre as a kitten.
Since other people are writing about their pets I will too.
I called my black and white cat Pepper, when she was a kitten. I still think is suits her perfectly. My only regret is that she bites a lot, and has a 'peppery' personality... and sometimes I wonder whether she grew into her name, and if I'd called her something less spicy she would have been a sweeter cat :p
I do find this an interesting question though - I wonder if people regret what they named their kids. I get sick of names if I hear them over and over, but I imagine that once a name belongs to the child you love, you'd really love that name even more.
I love my daughter's name still. (Ivy Violet) Everytime I call her name, I think about how gorgeous it is.. LOL She came pretty close to being a Natalie.. sooo glad that didn't happen.. she's definitely an Ivy. ;)
I haven't had my baby yet, but I totally know why you are asking... I am so confussed on the names. I am having a boy, and so far the names we've picked out are: Logan, Marek, Hayden and Vincent. My boyfriend doesn't want any names too traditional, but I love names like Benjamine, Samuel, Jackson, and Grant.
Why couldn't it have been a girl?!?! I have had Lilian Belle picked out since I was little!! And I have never given it a second thought!
I just have two cats right now. Eponine and Camoflauge.
I'm kind of torn on Eponine (named after a character in Les Miserables). On the one hand, she is whiny just like the character, and the name really suits her. But people always think her name is "Ebony", and it gets confusing trying to explain.
Camo was a rescue, so we didn't actually name her. But I am glad we kept the name because it fits her nicely.
