[identity profile] hoochiehoops.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
So I'm looking at baby pictures from the hospital I'm due to give birth in at the end of August or early Sept. Some of these names are horrifying. These are all born in June.

Twins girls -Phoebe and Aurora- (which I love.)
Evanie (f)
Alexi (f)
Jandiel (m)
Vallon (f)
Shanayah (f) - (I think this is supposed to be Shania)
Talia (f)
Jeriel (m)
Amberly (f) - (THIS KILLS ME, Ugh)
Noriel (m) - (Moms name is Norisabeth)?
Kenny (m) - (Not Kenneth...)
Celine (f)
Zander (m)
Rylan (m)
Camden (m)
Skye (f)
Amalya (f)
Copley (I'm not sure of the gender...)

I don't mind Kenny as a name on its own, it isn't too horrible. I mean, I know plenty of people who say why name a child a name when you are intending on calling him/her something else?

Celine isn't too bad, very French-Canadian. Camden is actually quite nice :)

I like:

Aurora
Celine (if pronounced properly)
Camden

Aurora and Phoebe is the weirdest, most ironic combination to me ... I *just* finished writing an essay about a poem where two figures with these names were rivals.

The only names I like are Phoebe and Aurora. I think it makes an adorable sibset.
Also, I LOVELOVELOVE Logan Jude :)

I kind of like Evanie. Amberly sounds like a street name or the name of some great estate, is Manderly in Daphne Du Maurier's Rebecca or Pemberly in Pride and Prejudice.
