I was curious earlier when someone asked about family names and I wanted to see if there were any repeats in our family, so I figured I'd share the list.


My dad's family:
Knute Otto - my great-grandfather
Nellie - great-grandmother
Knute Otto [Otto] - my grandfather, married Vonda - my grandmother
Paul Erik (uncle) [married to Sarah], Robin (aunt) [married to Vincent], Timothy Glenn [Tim] (my dad), James [Jim] (dad's half-brother [different father])

Cousins:
Otto (married Amy)
Timothy [Timmy] (married Rebecca [Becky])

Mom's family:

Hazel - great grandmother (several sisters including Maude, Grace and about five more whose names I don't remember)
Three children: Floyd, Donald [Don], and Margaret Lavangie (my grandmother) [don't ask...the mn is soooo weird]
Margaret married Melvin (called Pic, which takes way too long to explain)
Three children: Terry (aunt) [married to Phil], Gerry (uncle) [married to Corrine], Kim (my mom)

My grandfather also had a TON of siblings whose names I'm not 100% sure of. The only ones I know for sure are my grandfather (Melvin), William (Bill) and Lola (Lol).

Cousins:
Holly (Married to Jeff; two daughters: Kelsey Nicole and Katelyn Elizabeth [Katy])

my great-uncle Don had five children, so I'll share those names, too:

Oh and the one cool last name from my family that I love is Stratton. I don't know why, but I absolutely love the name :).

Mom's Side:

Henry & Elizabeth (great grandparents)

Victor & Dorothy (grandparents)
(my grandpa had 22 brothers and sisters, my grandma had 12... so here are some of the names I remember)

Grandma's siblings: Betty, Martha, Laura, Richard, Edward, John, Ruth + 4 others
Grandpa's siblings: Katie, Otto, John + many others

My grandparents kids: Darryl Wayne, Wanda Joy, Deborah Joan(my mom)
(Wanda passed away when she was 7, Darryl when he was 34)

Deborah & Garry (divoriced)

My favorite name in my family...
- my grandfathers last name Zacharias... I want to use "Zachary" to honour him... I'd love to use "Victor" too, but it's such an overpowering name!
