i have a personal vendetta against the name faye, but i have a friend who named his daughter penelope rae a couple of weeks ago, and i love that, so i am sure, my personal connotations aside, that penelope faye is a fine name.

i prefer poppy as a nickname for penelope, but i like nellie too.

I love Penelope and I love the nn Nellie for it. (Maybe Nell as she gets older.) Probably wouldn't have picked Faye for the middle name myself, as I have something of a 'Marie' obsession, but it works very very well together, and I'm sure it will be completely lovely :-)
