i've always thought of robin as a boy's name (probably because of the boy wonder, hah) however, i prefer robin over robyn on girls. and i like robyn on boys. that was confusing.

to me:

robyn - boy?: yes/girl?: no
robin - boy?: yes/girl?: yes

I love Robyn, even with the 'y'. Probably because I used to know the sweetest little girl by that name!

Not a fan of the rest though. Rainer is ok (in German) the rest are really not my style and even a little weird.

i'd personally do Aeryne for a girl and Aeron for a boy, it is i suppose a different version of Erin/Aaron.

Robin is okay. Robyn could be worse, I guess. Like Robin better for a boy, but Robyn is okay on a girl.

Glady is eww. Makes me think of Glad trash bags.

i knew a Raenor, so the spelling doesn't necessarily have to be Rainer, spelling does vary even if pronounciation doesn't.

Um, spelling matters. Seriously. Rainer is a nice, solid name; Raener looks trashy. Also: Raener makes the name look feminine and the name is far from it.

if i were to go with Glady it would probably only be a nn for gladys, its my grandmother's name, and she always went by glady until she was forty apparently.

One of my grandmother's aunts (or cousins?) was a Gladys. When she went to school, her sisters convinced her that she couldn't say her name at school because she'd get in trouble. So when the teacher asked her, she said her name was "Happy Bottom." It's like the best story I've ever heard, and it's surprisingly endeared me to the name.

But, I could see Glady as a nickname.

Aeryne/Aeron - is this for a boy or a girl? It reminds me of a woman I know named Earon. She is 1st generation American Italian so I'm assuming it is an Italian spelling of the name Erin but I'm not sure... it's pronounced just like Erin, though.
Robyn - i like this name but would never use it personally

Rainer - this is alright, had a friend that was called that in highschool and it sounds beautiful in spanish.

Aeryne/Aeron - if people can't tell if it's Aaron or Erin then... don't use it.

Robyn - unnecessary Y, the name Robin is wonderful though

Robyn is the only one that is a real name to me. Rainer, etc. is a surname, and the other two are terrible.

Robyn reminds me of that awful british pop singer back in the late 90s. And Glady sounds like it should be Gladys, but it fails.
