Abigail is an English bastardization of Avigail. :) My husband is Orthodox Jewish and I'm Catholic. We agreed that the baby would have a Hebrew first name instead of an English version of a Hebrew name.

Tzipporah is Hebrew: Wife of Moses and daughter of Jethro the Midianite.
