Not pregnant, but like names!

I like welsh names, in particular Eluned (El-een-id) and Bethan, paired with English/ more mainstream middle names, so what do people think of:

I grew up in Wales.. I've heard Eluned but not Elenud. Both are really pretty but could be hard for non-Welsh speakers to get to grips with, I guess :/ Bethan is lovely though and I don't see how anyone could pronounce it incorrectly :)

HAHA i could never call my child that i can't spell it... I'll have to edit it, that's just embarrassing! yeah, i wondered that about Eluned, but it's so pretty! I'm going to university in Cardiff, so if I settle in Wales afterwards I'd probably use it, as people would be able to say it, but if I move elsewhere I might not... I don't know! which middle names did you like with them?

There might be an Elenud as well for all I know ;) Eluned is pronounced El-een-ed, and it's really nice. I went to school with one :)

I think I like Eluned Anne best of the first bunch, and then Betha Rose/Mae/Kate :)

My cousin was going to be an Eluned before he came out and was an Elliot! Is Cardiff uni nice? I'm going to do Children's nursing, hopefully if they let me in, starting Sept 2007

What's the pronunciation of Bethan (where is the spoken emphasis)? As a BethanY, it looks incomplete to me, but I might be persuaded to like it. ;)

Like Beth-anne, so more emphais on the an than in Bethany - I prefer it to Bethany because to me that doesn't suit adults much, just children, but perhaps that's because I've only ever known children called Bethany. I think Bethan is more elegant :)

Really? The only Beths I've ever know haven't been chidren, and I'm considering using it (as my middle name is Elizabeth) in place of my first name! I guess it depends on who you've known, they're all nice names

Yeah, Bethan is welsh, whereas Bethany is hebrew or something - strange that they have such differnt orrigins! Yeah, lots of the middle names go with either, because they're just pretty middle-namey names.
