Jun. 8th, 2009 05:21 pmA Dutch guy decided to name his son Nxt (pronounced 'Next') because he would be 'part of the next generation'. Unfortunately the father couldn't register his child because the government argued 'Nxt' was not an actual name (I honestly didn't know we had naming laws here). The result? The kid is now called:
Depp Nxt Borrel
...with Borrel being the last name. They say they didn't choose Depp because of Johnny Depp, so I have no clue why they did.
Borrel is the Dutch word for 'Drink' (as in, alcoholic drink) so needless to say I think this name is beyond awful.

Date: 2009-06-09 06:21 am (UTC)Depp isn't a word here, although there is the verb 'deppen' which means 'to dab'. No exactly great either, but not as bad as 'moron'!
