I kind of like them both.  in a weird way.

Liesel is nice, but I could never get away from The Sound of Music association.

I don't usually like smashed together names. I'd prefer to see Elsie-Lena or Elsie Lena.

I prefer the spelling Liesl. I don't know why, I just do.
And is it pronounced el-see-lean-ah? I'm not very gifted at phonetics.

I kind of like the look of Elsielene. I'm tempted to say it as Elsie-Leen though, which doesn't sound as cute as it looks.
