What do you all think of the names

Lindy
Mischa
Naima
Frances
Amelia
Juliet
Harlow

My husbands favorite is Juliet, I am not crazy about it, but I do like the idea of calling our daughter Jules or maybe even Julie. I worry that although Juliet isn't real popular (neither is Jules), but Julia is more popular than I'd like. I certainly don't want my Juliet getting mixed up with Julias all her life.

My favorite is Lindy, my husband likes it as well,.. Also, DH's mother's name is Linda so it would sort of be nice to name our little girl after her.

and we both love Mischa which has no special meaning whatsoever, we just both really like unpopular names.

with the exception of naima, none of these are particularly unpopular, just for what its worth.

i think lindy is really cute.

amelia is ok too. i used to like it, but it has since faded for me.

i am not a fan of juliet. julia is nice. my favorite variation is juliana.

Lindy: Doesn't seem complete to me. It just doesn't seem like a real name. More of a nickname for something like Lindsay or Linda.
Mischa: I see it more as a male name but I like it.
Naima: Not a fan.
Frances: It's cute. I like it a lot.
Amelia: Good name.
Juliet: I like it well enough once you put assign the pop culture references.
Harlow: Not a fan at all. Never have been. All I think is some poor kid getting called Harlow the Harlot or something.

I know a Belinda and a Linden who go by the nn Lindy.

Frances is adorable. I also like Francesca.

Lindy--I like it okay, but it sounds extremely nickname-y. However, it is really cute.
Mischa--I see it being more of a male name
Naima--Reminds me of America's Next Top Model, but I think it's pretty
Frances--Gorgeous, I certainly don't see it enough
Amelia--Used a ton, but I will never stop loving it =)
Juliet--I like it a lot
Harlow--I really don't like it, because it's one letter off from 'harlot' and that's all I can see.

Love Harlow and Mischa. Mischa for a girl or boy. But love them both.

I know of a Belinda who went by Lindi as a teenager, although most people call her Belle now. I've always liked the name Belinda, as much as others have disagreed, and I think it does have the potential for other nicknames as your daughter grows up.

Lindy - it's a but too cutesy and nicknamey, I think, but not terrible
Mischa - sounds like it would be a Russian nickname for Mikhail... too masculine for me
Naima - I've never seen this name before and am not sure how to pronounce it, but it's not my style either way
Frances - love it! And I actually like Frankie as a nickname. I know, I surprised myself too.
Amelia - nice, I'm starting to come around on it
Juliet - love it. I prefer it spelled Juliette at the moment.
Harlow - I'm at a loss on this one. I like how it feels very silver-screen-esque, but I dislike how it's so close to harlot.

i like frances, amelia, and juliet.

lindy is too nickname-ish for me. maybe as a nickname for linda, but lindy doesn't even sound like a real name. i don't like mischa or naima, either, and harlow is awful. i don't get the appeal. it sounds like "harlot" (another word for slut or whore).

Lindy--I think it sounds like a nick name, but I kind of like it.
Mischa--definitely a male name.
Naima--ok
Frances--reminds me of the nun I had in highschool - so to me it's a very old prude name.
Amelia--pretty getting very popular though. Reminds me of Amelia Bedelia
Juliet--I knew a girl Juliet in highschool - she was always called by her ful name or Jules, never mixed up for Julia. I like the name.
Harlow-- more of a pet name to me, but pretty.

Lindy is a nn for Melinda, afaik. I love it as a nn, but not as a given name. Senator Lindy Lastnamey? =P

Juliet and Amelia are by far my favorites of your list, but I don't mind Mischa (or Lindy if it's a nn). The others are not my thing.

Lindy: It's not my style, but it could be cute for a little kid...doesn't grow up very well though
Mischa: Quite nice, but it does remind me of Mischa Barton (not that that's wrong, per se)
Naima: Too ethnical sounding for my taste, but pretty nonetheless
Frances: Nice
Amelia: Boring
Juliet: I really like it!
Harlow: I like it, but it's quite trendy at the moment (as is Amelia, by the way)

My sister is named Julie, and usually goes by Julie and occasionally Jules. People do sometimes call her Julia, or assume that is her full name. I don't think it would be an issue if she went by Juliet though.

If you prefer unpopular names to the extent that you'd want your kid to be the only one around with her name, I'd stay away from Amelia - it's getting fairly popular, and she'd definitely meet other Amelias her age. If you don't care that much though it is a really lovely name.

I dislike Harlow. Lindy is too childish for a full name, but makes a cute nickname for Lindsay, Melinda/Belinda/Linda, Rosalind, or really anything with a lin(d) in it. The others are all nice.

Most of those make me immediately think of celebrity names!!

Mischa - Mischa Barton from The O.C.
Naima - Winner of America's Next Top Model
Frances - Daughter of Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain
Amelia - Earhart. Not a celeb, per se, but famous.
Harlow - Daughter of Nicole Richie and that Good Charlotte dude

These 2 don't conjure up image of US Weekly:

Lindy - Not bad. The best of the bunch.
Juliet - Never liked it but that's just my opinion.

I like Juliet, and I love the nn Jules.
I also love Julia though.

Not a fan of Mischa, but I like Harlow. I don't like Lindy. :( I know one, and I can't stand her. It's sort of ruined the name for me.
