Since Mr. Pitt is wild about architecture, I wonder if they intended Nouvel as a reference to the architect Jean Nouvel, rather than using it for its French meaning? (Especially since nouvel would be the masculine form of the adjective, no?)

Shiloh is actually rather sweet... but I don't like it that much...
I think it's one of those that will grow on me, i never seen to like names i've not heard before.

I don't get that "dog" thing. Just because someone named a dog Shiloh and wrote a book about it, doesn't automatically make it just a dog's name. Plenty of pets have 'human' names, doesn't make the names any less human. I actually like it, as far as celeb names go, it's not freaking weird like most you hear. I personally wouldn't use Shiloh, but it doesn't make me fear for the child's future :P
