what do u think of Gabriel Lucas?

i have 6 weeks til i have baby and we don't have any serious contenders and everytime we talk about it, hubby and i fight!

stress!

he likes Daghy (DA-HEE) it's irish for david. i don't like it. for one, no one will be able to spell it much less pronounce it.

I am not a big fan of either Gabriel or Lucas but I do think they sound great together. Lucas Gabriel works well too.

I agree about Daghy it will be mispronounced constantlty.

Daghy looks like Daggy which is slang in Australia for.. um.. stroppy?
But, the correct definition for a Dag is the piece of poo that hangs off a sheep's bum. *nod*

Yeah - I thought of Daggy too. I didn't realise Daggy was only a word in Australia. In QLD here it refers to someone who like.... just is completely out of touch with societal norms, particularly by wearing really outdated ugly clothes

I only assumed it was an aussie word because it wasn't said that it would be pronounced 'daggy' in the OP.

I'm not really feeling Daghy. Like you said, the pronounciation would be tricky. But I LOVE Gabriel Lucas. I have to say that Gabriel is on my top 5 list of boy names and that Lucas is in the top 20.

But yeah, Gabriel Lucas is very, very nice. Lucas Gabriel also has a very nice ring too.

I'd switch to Lucas Gabriel. Lucas is a gorgeous name... suited to every age, cool enough for a teenager (i'd try and avoid shortening to Luke, but i suppose it's inevitable... and it's not bad as far as nicknames you don't want go... at least it's a real name too.) Lucas is so classy too.. yay for lucas!
I'm sure when he's born you'll both be able to come to an agreement with his name, he'll look like something :-)

eh. gabriel lucas is okay, but kind of plain & boring. plus, gabriel is becoming huge. most likely he won't be the only one in his class, which sucks.
i vote no way on daghy..just because it'll be extremely difficult for others to pronounce it & spell it.
