I'm not a fan, but if someone is going to use it, they ought to spell it Gemma. Otherwise it looks like Jenna misspelled.

gemma is "jem" is spanish and in spanish (and in English when it is pronouced) it has a soft G. that is probably where that comes from.

I have a relative whose name is Gemma, and she's Italian, so I'm partial to that spelling. I do love the name, though. Very pretty.

when naming our puppy, we decided on (how cliche for a black pup, i know, but there is a reason!) Shadow Terrell.

My husband is Army (and his initials of his full name are CPT!). So, I thought it would be cute if her initials were SGT. I wanted Gemma. He said no. Its Gabriella. heh.

the first time i ever heard that name was on a very cute blue eyed neighbor dog. now theres the model, and the singer. its still a dogs name to me, though, unfortunately.

i like jemma as a nn from jemimah. but if it's on it's own, it should be spelled gemma.
