I absolutely love Alice. Tara makes me think of Tara Reid and I therefore absolutely HATE it. I can't even think about it outside that image, even though I guess it's a pretty name in sound and meaning. But Alice is gorgeous.

Not a fan of either. Alice makes me think of old ladies, namely the maid from the Brady Bunch.. or Alice in Wonderland.. eh.

And Tara.. not as bad, but I kind of associate it with some of the skanky girls I went to high school with back in the day =/

LOL! Who knew my name brought about such horrible associations?! I'm Tara, 33 years old, and I can assure you that I am not "skanky" or "whacko". And I am very nice. Thanks for the laughs, that was great! :)

P.S. Alice is a very lovely name. It reminds me of Alice in Wonderland, which is a great association. :)

Alice- i want to love this, Alice in wonderland is amazing! It's really feminine & has a bit of a middle class pretentious air, totally the sort of name i'd go for! But... i just don't like it.

Tara- Hate it.. tar, like cement? hmm not pretty.

I'm thinking that in england i pronounce it different actually.. because i've heard Tara Reid as almost 'terra' wheras i say Tahhhhruh.
I do prefer the american pronunciation.
