I'm not pregnant and I don't plan on having many children, and I already have my girl names picked out:

Anne Elinor
Elisabeth Felicity (called Liesel)

But my husband and I can't pick boy names, even speculatively. We have such trouble. There are a lot of names we LIKE but don't love (George, Daniel, Henry, Mason, Cory, Matthew).

A lot of names we like the nicknames for but hate the actual name (we HATE Nicholas but like Nick, HATE Edward but like Ted and Teddy). So far the only certain one we've come up with is John. We liked William, but we can't use it.

Does anyone else hate boy names?

I've never heard Ted for Edward. What about Theodore?

I don't really like boy names either. I'd love a little boy, but have no idea what I would name him, haha. :)

Felicity has been my favorite name forever! I havent seen it much either and I do occasionally see it but I think a lot of people like it but not many will actually use it which meanes it will be unique still :)

My sister's name is Elinor, but spelled the classic way, Eleanor. We call her Ellie.

I always wondered what the "right" way to spell Eleanor was. I see it as Elinor a lot in this comm, and i'd always thought it was Eleanor.

I have a daughter who's almost 15 months, but when I was pregnant with her the only two boys' names I really liked were Creighton and Holden.

Is there a reason you'd call her Liesel instead of Elisabeth? I guess I'm not really a nickname person...

I don't HATE boys names, but I'm not very interested in them. The only ones I absolutely love are Caleb and Isaac. I like James and Nicholas (Nicky), too, but I don't know that I'd ever use them.

I love your girls names.

I dislike many boy names. And Liesel is one of my girl names! My others are Georgia, Ruby and Verity.
