I volunteer at the local humane society with cats and dogs.    It's always amusing to me what people name their pets.  Here's what's currently available:

Our cat is called Maximus (or just Max, usually). Before him, we had a cat called Sampson (Sam/Sammy). I'm amazed there isn't a Max or Sam on your list!

We currently have a golden lab called Abbey. (In dad's words "Abbey the labby
") We used to have a dog called Buddy.

i've always made it a point to NOT name animals with human names... seems weird somehow. plus i never wanted to run into someone with my loved pets name and end up hating their guts, and then hating my pets' name from then on. lol. the animals i've grown up with:

Little Guy - ironically enough a ChowChow/Akita mix
Brutus - Rottweiler
Rusty - chocolate lab
Fatz & Igor - littermates from a stray cat at my grandma's

some are common, others not so much lol. but i'll never run into someone with those names i don't think...

I'm not a huge fan of people names for pets.
At the stables where I ride, a lot of the horses have standard human names, and when I meet a person with the same name I always want to say "Oh I know a horse called that!"
