A girl I grew up with is pregnant. She's having a boy and plans on naming it Jacob Ryan. She already has a daughter: Kourtney Alyssa.

I think it's boring, but clearly it could be worse.

I like the sound of Jacob Ryan - made even more obvious when you learn I have a son named Jason Ryan (my preference of the two, it goes without saying..)

Courtney Alyssa does sound nice, but I am not a fan of the name Courtney no matter how you spell it. Besides - I have known both guys and girls with this name. Unisex names are not my style.

I have three boys, but if I ever get to name a daughter or two, Alyssa is one of my fav names.
