Mar. 29th, 2009 10:48 pmTwo questions;
What are your favourite occupational names?
I like; Beck/Beckett, Cooper, Cohen, Madden, Leighton
What are your thoughts on "lah" tor "lee/ley/leigh" names?
For some reason I am really loving the names;
Kaia/Kaya, Myla/Maila/, Shaia/Shila, Nia/Naia,
It's really weird that I am liking these names atm, because usually I like rather classic type names (like Claire and Maxwell), where as these are quite trendy...

Date: 2009-03-29 12:11 pm (UTC)2) I don't mind the -la or -lee/ley/leigh names if they are meant to be those names and are spelled correctly. ie, Ashley, Callie, Emily, etc. I really hate when the names are spelled incorrectly to be "cute" (ie, Ashleigh, Kaeleigh, Emmaleigh, etc.) or when names that shouldn't be -leigh names are turned into them (ie, taking a random syllable and adding leigh onto it: Madaleigh, Jayleigh, etc.)
3) I like Kaia/Kaya and Nia.

Date: 2009-03-29 12:54 pm (UTC)I tried defining them on google but it came back with specific things like: Cohen - Of priestly decent, Leighton - A habitational surname.... so I am still confused.
With Beck I think of Glenn Beck.
Cohen I think of glasses.
Madden I think of football.
Leighton is my favorite of your list.
I really like Maila/Mayla. Shaia/Shyla/Shila reminds me of Sheila spelled wrong. Nia/Naia is pretty. And I like Kaya/Kaia too.

Date: 2009-03-29 01:29 pm (UTC)-lee/-leigh/-la names are trendy indeed, but that doesn't mean that some of them don't sound nice. I have personally always liked Ella and Hailey, for example. And Kaia is great too!
