ugh. boy names are a problem. isn't harry and david or something similar and fancy food store? i love abraham for a little red head. there is a fair likelihood that if matthew and i ever happened to have kids, they'd have red hair. also, abe as a nickname is cool in my book. i usually don't like nicknames. same with patrick and pat and louis with lou or louie. initials.... henry oliver gray. HOG. oliver henry, O.Henry... blaaaaah. i was liking sylvia belle until i realized it sounded so similar to silver bell. so, no. sylvia and evelyn would only be used if i had girls that were twins. sylvia and evelyn complement so well. abraham, morgan, patrick, and jesse are all names i love for firsts, but can't find a middle. lucille elaine would be for my nana... her middle is elaine and lucille/lucy is a name we both like a lot. she always called me lyssa-lucy when i was little. oh, and my middle name is aileen and it has the same letters and elaine, rearranged.
i think about names. a lot.
crossposted from my own journal. i wasn't going to put this in the community when i started.

Date: 2006-05-20 09:19 pm (UTC)i just read the rest of the post. wait a sec...is gray your last name? because it was my moms maiden name and i have been planning on using gray as a middle name for ages. oliver gray....

Date: 2006-05-21 11:39 am (UTC)also. his mother's maiden name was grady and she really wanted to use it as a name... but having a grady gray or a xxxx grady gray would be way too much and annoying.

I guess your names aren't my style at all... probably because I grew up in a bible-belt mennonite community where every old, harry, angry man was named "Abe", "Henry" or "Harry".
