Evan?

I am 19 weeks pregnant with a little boy. I always swore that I would not name my child anything too trendy or common, but here I am at a complete loss and the only name that I really love is Evan.

Do you think this name is too popular at this time?

Thinking of names BEFORE I was pregnant was much easier, there is a lot of stress attached to naming a human. :)

I've only known one Evan in real life and I vaguely remember an Evan from the Real World. I don't think it's too trendy and I like it a lot.

I don't think it's incredibly popular right now. I only know one Evan, my little 5 year old cousin. It's a cute name :)

I live in southern Ohio, I have heard this name a couple of times with recent babies born in my area... no one that I really know personally, but still..

Not as popular as Aiden or Noah, but I am scared that it is more common here. I don't know :/

I only know one Evan. I don't think it is TOO popular, I think its a very nice name.

Also, side note, I totally have some of your art hanging on my dining room wall! Haha, I recognized your picture in your icon. The print is from a few years ago.. its of a tree with a yellow background.. its awesome, I get compliments on it all the time.

I quite like Evan and would love to use it if we ever have another boy, which is why it is quite amusing that feverously suggested Leo as another idea (and Nicolas, which if you put both together you have my son's name!). I don't personally know any little Evans, and don't think it really is all that popular/trendy. I say use it if you love it. =]

Evan is a great name, it's my best friend's middle and that's what he goes by. I plan to use it in some way when I have kids.
