My pup :D

A year ago a friend of mine asked us to watch her pup. We did, and after a while she told us she would no longer be keeping her and offered for us to have her. I fell in love with her, and ofcourse said yes! But, her name just isn't right. I've put up with it this long just because I figured I couldn't change it....which i've come to see wasn't the case at all, and because I didn't want to hurt my friends feelings. She moved away to be closer to her family and we never really talk anymore. So,  my fiance and I called her Mishka for a while and she picked right up on it. We just weren't sure if it fit or not. SO, my question is, does Mishka(ME-shh-ka) fit? Or can you suggest names that you think would fit her? I know this is baby names, but I was just hoping for some suggestions. I'll delete this if it isn't okay. Picture under cut. :D

I see what you mean. She really just comes to anything if you say it with a sweet tone in your voice. Her name was Foxy and it's cute and all, but I just wanted to try something different and she started coming to Mishka so I figured that since she seems okay with whatever I better just find one name that fit, stick with it, and be done. She's a smart dog and she picks up on things really quickly so I figured so long as I didn't change it a bunch of times and got one solid name it'd be okay. lol All of our dogs have two names. My moms dogs name is Buddy but he also comes to Boo, and my grandmas dog Princess comes to Momo, and her other dog Maggie comes to Wag[ger].

Dog's don't really get confused like that. It's all about tone and consistency, even if the "rules" of consistency change. They don't get attached to their name or confused if you change them.

Her name was Foxy. She pretty much comes to anything. lol So long as you say it in a cute voice she comes prancing over to you. :P

I love Mishka, and if she responds to it, then use it! We recently adopted two cats for my fiance, and they came with the names Angel and Garfield. We hated the names. The first night we had them home, I called Angel "Honey" and she came right to me - and she became Honey from that moment. Similarly, Garfield responds well to anything with a "Ga" sound at the beginning, so he became Gambit.
