Mar. 24th, 2009 02:18 amA couple cousins of mine have had babies recently. One is Isabella Taylor, a popular name to go along with brother Ayden. The other is McRae - a girl - who has a sister called Tiana. (I don't know any of the other middle names.) My sister, mom & I made fun of 'McRae' and the torment she'll go through, but it's not -quite- as horrible as it seems: the mother pronounces it mih-cray, not mic-ray. Still, though. She's Italian, so Tiana makes sense, but where on earth did McRae come from? I think Isabella is a cute name, but it brings to mind the terrifyingly popular Twilight series, and both names in that sibset are too popular for my taste. What do you think?
A friend of mine also had a baby girl recently that she named Juliet, middle name either Rae or Rosalie; I never found out what they decided on. I prefer Rae to Rosalie and I know that was what she wanted, so I hope she won that battle. She's rather firm that Juliet never be nicknamed because she doesn't like Julie or Jules, which of course is wishful thinking, but I think it's a pretty cute name all the same. I have to agree with her on Julie/Jules though. Do any of you know any other nicknames for Juliet? And which do you prefer - Rae or Rosalie?
