Hi all,

Some names for thought/discussion. These are all names for kids, ages 2-8.

Marko (m)- I prefer Marco
Canute (m) -Not sure of the ethnic background on this one.
Brock (m)- NMS
Benet (m)- Where is the other n?!
Talon (m)- NMS
Peyton (m)- I've usually seen this on girls.

Samara (f)- Like, but sadly makes me think of the little girl in The Ring and I get creeped out!
Deliah (f)- NMS
Mia Casanova (f)- Okay...
Gael (f) -I prefer Gayle or Gail..
Hadley (f)- NMS
Bekka (f) -Ugh this irritates me!
Quisha (f)-No..

Pretty awful collection.

I like Mia, definitely not paired with Casanova, though.
Samara isn't bad, but I also think of the Ring girl.
I like Rebekah/Rebecca, but Bekka, not so much.

wow this was a pretty hard list to read through...

I used to be called Samara but because I kind of looked like the girl from the ring in hs (very pale and looong black hair) and I do like the name.

Mia is nice, not Mia Casanova (seeing also as Mia is spanish for Mine)

Gael is a guy's name in spanish and I rather like it... not on a girl though.

Quisha... sounds like a retarded way of saying 'Squishy' and thinking it'd be a cute name for a baby...

how is "Quisha" pronounced?
Instinctively I want to pronounce it like "Keesha", because I want to turn it into a normal sounding name... but it would be "Kweesha" or "Kwihsha" or Lord knows what else... ugh.

I knew a female Benet in high school, but it was pronounced ben-ay, not bennett.

Benet (ben-ay) versus Bennett (ben-ette).

I have a cousin named Talon, I've always thought it was pretty cool, but I wouldn't use it. Other than that, not so much.

um. these are all horrible.

benet, to me, read as french, like buh-nay.

quisha is just... oh my god... there are no words. seriously. SO many negative connotations. even one related to a not at all pleasant bodily function. oh my god. so not even funny.

Are Marko's parents Finnish perhaps? That's the spelling used in Finland and it's quite a popular name I think.
