hi. first post here (and yes i will post a name related one soon) anyways, any o of the rest of you ever had to explain why you carried baby name books with you? i really like names, so i've been using name books (for characters and such) since i was in middle school. only thing is i've never been pregnant and it was odd having to explain constantly in grade 8 that my books were just to look up names!

my boyfriend's brother's girlfriend (lol, what a mouthful) saw me reading a baby name book a few years back and told my boyfriend's mom that i was trying to get pregnant! what a mess that was, i was just reading it because i'm obsessed with names.

but now i'm 22 and we really are pregnant. :) pete's mom is very happy about it though, since we're older.

I ran and was in a few RPGs myself, (besides having a kid and being pregnant again) I would name my characters really neat names that I'd never be able to name my "real" children. LOL Now, that I'm pregnant, my husband keeps saying to me, 'no' to all the names I've picked for my characters.

im 17 and people generally wonder why i keep baby name books around.. and then they kinda go "oohhh kay" when i tell them abt my name fascination

LOL Some of my old RPG buddies asked me where I came up with the most unusual names, I said, from a baby book.
