May. 20th, 2006 12:59 pmA maths teacher in my school recently searched for the most popular names in my school, an all girls' school. The results were fairly interesting, so I thought I'd post them here. Hope someone finds them interesting! I had always assumed that my name, Jessica, was the top name, and that there were far more girls called Jessica. Anyway, here were the results:
1) Hannah - 17 girls
2) Jessica and Rebecca - 14 girls
3) Charlotte - 12 girls
4) Olivia and Catherine (and variations) - 11 girls.
Names with 10 or more girls included Sarah, Sophie and Rachel. There are 635 girls in 7 years, and they have 323 names and 225 unique names. There are 11 flower related names.
