Not expecting and probably won't be for quite some time, but I'm a self admitted name dork. I have my top four names picked out, but I'm starting to rethink my #2 girl's name (Daytona Ruth) and I more or less now hate my #2 boy's name (Hunter Andrew).

My #1 names are Colleen Marie (or Colleen Ruth) and Justin Royd. So, what do you think of the following for names that might work in that sibset?

Blair Marie
Nadia Ruth/Marie
Courtlin Amber
Lynnea Ruth/Marie

Mason Lee
Logan William
Kellan Lloyd
Daylan Thomas


As you can see from the girl's names, Ruth and Marie are both important to me. Ruth is my Grammie's middle name and Marie is my mom's. Any other name suggestions would be great. The only other middle name I'd want for a girl would be June. The boys, I pretty much like the one's I've listed, as they are varient's of my dad and grandad's name.

The only names I like from your list are Nadia Ruth/Marie, Mason, Thomas and William.

In my opinion Courtlin, Datyona and Daylan are trendy and/or made-up sounding.

The other names just aren't my style but I don't hate them.

IMO, the others are awful, Courtlin especially. Lynnea is correctly spelled Linnéa or Linnaea, the former of which I definitely like the look of. I don't care for the sound, though; to me, it seems a tad made up.

I really don't like any of your boys' names. They're trendy and surnamey.
Daylan Thomas is especially bad. Daylan is made up and it sounds like an illiterate version of Dylan Thomas, ironic considering Dylan Thomas is a famous poet.

Linnea Ruth/Marie is very pretty, Lynnea looks awful.
Courtlin Amber is very downmarket.

I could cope with Nadia or Blair, though Blair on a girl really shouldn't be okay.

colleen marie was my mothers name. my middle is marie too, after her. my first daughters middle name will be colleen in her memory. so, good choice! :)

i know a girl named ruth who is in college now (i have known her since she was about 8) and she has gone by ruthie her whole life. i think its kind of cute.

i LOVE june. i dont know if you would consider it for a first name, but i just think its fabulous. also, colleen june is nice.

daytona is horrible, as is hunter. sorry. glad to hear you are rethinking them.

the only other name from your list that i like is william, and thomas. none of the others, sorry.
