Stinson makes me think of something smelly or Stimpy from Ren & Stimpy. Not diggin' it at all. Also, Malachi reminds me of someone evil for some reason. Not sure why.

Here's round 2. There was one tie so there's an extra name in there. Glad everyone enjoyed it.

Not expecting and probably won't be for quite some time, but I'm a self admitted name dork. I have my top four names picked out, but I'm starting to rethink my #2 girl's name (Daytona Ruth) and I more or less now hate my #2 boy's name (Hunter Andrew).

My #1 names are Colleen Marie (or Colleen Ruth) and Justin Royd. So, what do you think of the following for names that might work in that sibset?

Blair Marie
Nadia Ruth/Marie
Courtlin Amber
Lynnea Ruth/Marie

Mason Lee
Logan William
Kellan Lloyd
Daylan Thomas

As you can see from the girl's names, Ruth and Marie are both important to me. Ruth is my Grammie's middle name and Marie is my mom's. Any other name suggestions would be great. The only other middle name I'd want for a girl would be June. The boys, I pretty much like the one's I've listed, as they are varient's of my dad and grandad's name.

I have met a lot of kids with last names as first names (i.e. Carter, Cooper, Jackson) and I noticed that a lot of our US Presidents' last names have been appropriated into first names. I thought it might make an interesting discussion on here.

Personally, I've seen 17 out of the 44 as first names (those with an asterisk next to them). I'm wondering if anyone has seen any others and what you think about those without the asterisk. I'm kind of thinking that someone could make Hayes and Nixon work. =) Obviously, Bush and Johnson would cause some major playground taunting.

Also, those of you from other countries, do you see this trend where you live? What last names of presidents, PMs, etc would make good first names?

Cut for an American History refresher.

I was going through playbills from the past 4 years of the Annie 30th Anniversary Tour, and I decided to make a list of the 7 orphans in the show, and the names of the little girl who played them. Character names are bolded, with the girls’ real names underneath.

WDYT? )
